Another Violent Home Explosion Rocks Denver Injuring Nine

In October 2017, Morrow & Sheppard LLP secured a nearly $7 million jury verdict for clients injured in a home explosion due to a gas line not being capped. The gas company refused to accept any responsibility, and Morrow & Sheppard LLP took the case all the way to trial. During the jury deliberations, the jury asked if the judge would require the gas company to inform all of its customers that they may have hazardous valves in their homes.  The case received significant media attention.

Just over one year later, on August 15, 2018, another home has exploded in Denver, this time injuring nine people.  Channel 9 news is reporting that firefighters are calling it the biggest home explosion in Denver in 22 years.  Other reports indicate it sounded like a bomb had gone off. Although the cause of the explosion is under investigation, Xcel Energy is reportedly currently on site for the investigation.
