Channelview Industrial Accident at Spitzer Industries

Two industrial workers were tragically killed when a piece of heavy equipment fell on them last night on April 4, 2019. The accident happened at about 9 p.m. in the block of Industrial Road in east Houston. The Spitzer Industries workers were moving the equipment at the time of the accident.

According to Harris Country Sheriff Ed Gonzalez’s initial information, he said in his tweet that an unknown equipment piece flipped over possibly trapping two workers.

The first worker was crushed and died at the scene, and another was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital but later died from his serious injuries.

Deputies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are investigating the incident.
