What Is The Eagle Ford Shale?
The Eagle Ford Shale is a Texas oil and gas geological formation. The Eagle Ford Shale is 50 miles wide and 400 miles long. It is 250 feet thick and 4,000-12,000 feet below ground. It stretches from the Mexican border into East Texas. It was created when a giant forest was buried 100 million years ago.
