In a recently filed arbitration, Valentina Capital LLC is alleged to have lured high-profile trainer Ky Evans, one of the world’s leading fitness instructors, from California to Texas to operate luxury gyms under The Lagree Studio brand. Mr. Evans alleges Valentina Capital promised not only equity in the business, but also that they would invest the time and money needed to make The Lagree Studio a national brand.  However, Evans says, after he relied on those promises and undertook the cost and expense of relocating to Texas, Valentina Capital LLC failed to keep its end of the bargain.

Ky Evans has trained many celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Guiliana Rancic, Rhonda Rousey, Houston Rockets player Trevor Ariza, and Metta World Peace from the Lakers.  Evans started his journey when he began working with Sebastien Lagree, who taught him the famous Lagree Method.  Soon after, Evans built his own following and became one of the most sought-after group instructors in Los Angeles.  His classes would regularly have a month-long wait list.  His clientele frequently include television and film personalities, professional athletes, and Olympians. Evans has been featured in over 40 fitness publications and was Shape magazine’s 2014 Hottest Trainer in America. Ky has also been featured in People Magazine, OK Weekly, Self, Shape, ELLE Australia, LA Confidential, DuJour, Bello Magazine, W Magazine, Glamour, Marie Claire, Fitness RX and has appeared on television programs such as Good Morning America, E!
